O u r S t o r y
In 1920, the Mergè family began producing wine and olive oil in the countryside around Rome, driven by a deep-rooted bond with the land.
With just a few hectares and great determination, this passion was passed on to Armando, who transformed a local activity into a structured enterprise, launching production in Monte Porzio Catone.
In the 1990s, Felice Mergè — oenologist and entrepreneur — took the family name beyond the borders of Lazio, giving the production a modern, international outlook.
Today, with estates in Lazio and Puglia, the Mergè story continues, shaped by tradition, innovation, and vision.

Masca del Tacco: Puglia at the heart
With the acquisition and restoration of a historic winery in Erchie, Felice expanded the project into Puglia. Thus Masca del Tacco was born—an homage to the ancient strength of the South, its grape varieties, and its deep-rooted heritage.
In this new phase, Rossella Macchia joined the company, bringing a modern perspective and becoming the face of the winery, guiding it toward the future without losing sight of tradition.
